| How to catch a seagull | | | submitter: Thom | Monday, August 7th 2006 | |
What happens when you give a Patterson too many cheez-its, a sand dune, and a flock of seagulls? Obviously that Patterson will proceed to bury himself and lure-in said gulls with the cheesy goodness of that favored Kellogg's treat!
(that is to say, this is what my little brother did at Warren Dunes in MI )

| Animusic | | | submitter: Thom | Sunday, August 6th 2006 | |
|
Animusic is a content creation company. Our principal focus is the production of 3D computer graphics music animation. We primarily create original content, such as our "video album", but have also produced animation for clients.
Both the graphics and the music are entirely digitally synthesized. Virtual instruments are invented by building computer graphics models of objects that would appear to create the sound of the corresponding music synthesizer track. Graphical instruments range from being reminiscent of existing instruments to arbitrarily abstract. I am linking to a page that shows short vid clips from their new DVD. This is a must-see!

| Dancing and Singing on a treadmill | | | submitter: Thom | Saturday, August 5th 2006 | |

If I had 6 or 8 spare treadmills sitting around I imagine I would dance and sing on them as well. You will first have to choose your video format, flash should do fine for most of you.

| Japan: Producing Electricity via Train Ticket Gates | | | submitter: jason | Friday, August 4th 2006 | | | Normally I'd be weary of any site that has "tree hugger" in the address BUT it appears Japan has a really cool idea on how to generate electric. They designed ticket gates which generate an electric charge based on the flow of people that go through them. Though the article isn't that detailed / technical, I thought the idea is pretty schwaze. | |
