Having a color resembling that of schwa
Orbox

Just another web game that I've found that has a really nice balance between simplicity of rules and challenge of puzzles. Basically you are a blue box that wants to touch a red box using a bunch of other boxes to stop your inertia because you have taken Newton's first law entirely to heart. If the link above doesn't work try this one.

The Chronicles of George
submitter: ThomSunday, July 1st 2007

This web site is a collection of helpdesk tickets gleaned from the support database of my previous job. I was employed there for twenty months, and during that time I had the misfortune of encountering an individual whom I will call George.

George is, quite simply, the worst helpdesk technician ever.

His grasp on the written word is shakier than a canoe full of epileptics. His knowledge of computers is thinner than a Vegas dancer's chiffon underpants. He is, by all standards of intelligence, a rock.

A buddy of mine showed me this at work. I had a very unproductive hour as I was laughing so hard. Jump to page one and get to reading.

Physics - Fire and Water
submitter: ThomSaturday, June 16th 2007
The geniuses that write physics engines have released some schwaze examples of what they can do with fire and water. I cannot wait until realistic hardware is cheap enough that I can do this on my own computer!

Blueprint Physics Game

Arrange the various objects so gravity will carry the ball towards the target. Starts off easy but quickly gets difficult.

Reactable - Touchscreen Music
submitter: ThomWednesday, May 30th 2007
Touchscreen devices seem to be the new hotness. Apple comes out with their iPhone in less than a month, and just today Microsoft released Surface. While these devices have practical uses, Reactable exists solely to bring schwa to the world. Basically you just move physical objects across a round table, and the system detects them and synthesizes sound waves based on their position and orientation. Watch the videos. Unfortunately most of their videos seem to be in the way of improvisation, no one having worked out a solid reproducible techno beat.
